Six, including minor, held for alleged gang rape in Cuttack
Bhubaneswar, Nov 8: A tragic incident has been reported in Cuttack, where a college student was allegedly gang-raped by six individuals. Following the victim's complaint, the Badambadi Police have arrested all six accused.
According to reports, the victim had celebrated her birthday at a café in the Purighat area during Dussehra with her boyfriend. Unbeknownst to her, her boyfriend, in collusion with the café owner, secretly recorded their private moments.
Later, the boyfriend, the café owner, and their associates lured the victim to a house in Barang, where the assault took place. The perpetrators used the illicit recording to blackmail her, subjecting her to repeated sexual assaults.

A special team, led by Zone-6 ACP Swastik Panda along with the Badambadi and Purighat IICs, revealed that the accused had used the video to intimidate and exploit the victim on two separate occasions.
