Naveen launches attack on Baijayant Panda at Kendrapara rally

Bhubaneswar, May 27: Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik launched a scathing attack on former Kendrapara Lok Sabha MP Baijayant Panda, without directly naming him, during a massive public meeting on Monday.
Addressing the crowd, Patnaik mentioned that he had supported the former MP for ten years, but felt betrayed by him, accusing Panda of prioritizing his company's interests over the people of Kendrapara.
While campaigning in Kendrapara, the Chief Minister urged voters to choose the right candidates in the upcoming simultaneous elections by voting for the BJD, symbolized by the double conches.
Senior BJD leader and prominent campaigner Kartik Pandian underscored the Chief Minister’s dedication to Kendrapara's development. He highlighted Patnaik’s efforts to establish the world’s largest steel plant by Nippon Steel in Kendrapara, including traveling to Japan to facilitate the project.
Pandian criticized the former Kendrapara MP, questioning how much profit his private company had made since he became an MP. He accused Panda of using his position on the Finance Committee of Parliament to benefit his company by waiving its loans and neglecting Kendrapara’s development.
Pandian also alleged that when Panda was not appointed chairman of the Finance Committee, he spread rumors about Patnaik’s health through his private TV channel and in Delhi.
