BJD's Soro MLA Parshuram Dhada joins BJP
Bhubaneswar, April 26: Parshuram Dhada, the incumbent MLA representing Soro constituency for the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha's Balasore district, officially switched allegiance to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Joined by his supporters, Dhada made the transition at a gathering held at the BJP headquarters in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Welcoming Dhada and his supporters into the BJP fold were prominent party figures including state president Manmohan Samal, former president Samir Mohanty, election co-in-charge Lata Usendi, and Balasore MP nominee Pratap Sarangi.
Dhada's decision to leave the BJD stemmed from his discontent over being denied a party ticket for the upcoming elections. This dissatisfaction prompted his resignation from the BJD a few days prior to his formal induction into the BJP.
The BJD, in response, has nominated Madhab Dhada as its candidate for the Soro Assembly seat, thereby setting the stage for an intriguing electoral contest in the region.
