JEE Main 2024 Session 2 results declared: Maharashtra dominates top ranks

New Delhi, April 25: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the JEE Main 2024 Session 2, encompassing both Paper I and Paper II. Participants in this year's Joint Entrance Examination can view their results on the official NTA JEE website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.

Gajare Nilkrishna Nirmalkumar and Dakshesh Sanjay Mishra, both from Maharashtra, secured the first and second All India Rank (AIR) respectively, with Aarav Bhatt from Haryana clinching AIR-3.

A total of 56 aspirants achieved a perfect score of 100 percentile, with 15 hailing from Telangana, and seven each from Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Notably, no student from Odisha made it to the list of 56 toppers.

The NTA had previously released the answer key for the JEE exams on April 21, 2024. Session 2 of the JEE Main 2024 was conducted in the first and second weeks of April, spanning from the 4th to the 12th, across 319 cities nationwide, including 22 cities outside India. The first session took place on January 28 to February 1.

The provisional answer key was published on April 12, with the objection window closing on April 14, 2024. Over one lakh students appeared for the Paper 1 (BE/BTech) exams in the second session.

NTA reported that 39 candidates have been barred from future attempts for three years due to examination misconduct.

The JEE exams were administered in 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

It's worth noting that the NTA conducted the JEE Mains 2024 exam in two sessions – January and April, with a combined registration count of over 24 lakh — 12,21,624 in session 1 and 12.57 lakh in session 2. The candidate's best scores in JEE Mains will be considered when preparing the final merit list.
