Ollywood actress Varsha Priyadarshini joins BJD
Bhubaneswar, April 18: Ollywood actor Varsha Priyadarshini has made a political move, officially joining the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ahead of the 2024 elections.
In a ceremony held at Shankha Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, Varsha was welcomed into the BJD by Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra. Praising Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, she cited his "clean" persona as her inspiration for aligning with the party.
Expressing her admiration for the Chief Minister, Varsha emphasized his simplicity, reserved demeanor, and commitment to action rather than words. She hailed his contributions to Odisha, declaring him an unparalleled figure and an ideal for all.
Varsha's decision to join the BJD comes after her recent divorce from Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty. Anubhav, who was formerly associated with the BJD, recently joined the BJP after the dissolution of their marriage was granted by the Orissa High Court.
