Armed robbers strike: SUV and Rs 14 lakh looted from Odisha market
Dhenkanal, April 5: Today, in Odisha's Dhenkanal district, a group of armed individuals reportedly carried out a robbery, stealing an SUV and Rs 14 lakh from the Jirala weekly market in the Kamakhyanagar area.
According to accounts, traders from Badasahi in Mayurbhanj district had arrived at the weekly market in a Bolero SUV. As they proceeded into the market, the driver remained with the vehicle. Suddenly, five individuals on motorcycles appeared, firing blanks and hurling bombs to incite chaos. Subsequently, they fled with the SUV containing the traders' Rs 14 lakh.
Following a complaint from the traders, the Kamakhyanagar police initiated an investigation into the incident and registered a case. Law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing efforts to locate and apprehend the perpetrators.
