Odisha Govt to review extension of Subhadra Yojana application deadline
Bhubaneswar, April 15: The Subhadra Yojana application deadline may be extended beyond April 30, with the Pravati Parida stating that a final decision will be taken after reviewing the number of applications received.
Speaking to mediapersons on Tuesday, Parida acknowledged that the response so far has been lower than anticipated. The scheme is aimed at providing benefits to eligible women, particularly those who have attained 21 years of age as of April 1, 2026.
“The situation will be assessed at the end of the month, and based on that, a decision will be taken on whether to extend the deadline,” she said.
Parida also highlighted that the government has already issued instructions to address technical issues faced by applicants. In such cases, an additional five days will be granted to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out due to procedural or digital hurdles.
Reiterating the government’s commitment, she said efforts are being made to ensure maximum coverage under the scheme. The outcome of the review meeting scheduled for April 30 will determine whether the application window remains open or closes as planned.
