Heavy rainfall warnings issued for multiple districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, July 31: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a continuation of light to moderate rainfall with thundershowers throughout Odisha for the next seven days, as per their mid-day bulletin.
Due to the formation of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, and Bangladesh, rainfall in the state is expected to intensify over the next three days.
Light to moderate rainfall has been reported in many coastal regions and a few interior areas of Odisha today. The highest maximum temperature recorded was 35.0°C in Paralakhemundi, while the lowest minimum temperature was 23.0°C in Phulbani and Nabarangpur.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely at most places in Odisha.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is expected at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bargarh, and Jagatsinghpur.
Day 2 (From 08:30 AM IST, August 1 to 08:30 AM IST, August 2, 2024):
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely at most places in Odisha.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is expected at one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Boudh, Sonepur, and Sambalpur. Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is expected at one or two places in Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Kalahandi.
Day 3 (From 08:30 AM IST, August 2 to 08:30 AM IST, August 3, 2024):
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely at most places in North Odisha and many places in South Odisha.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is expected at one or two places in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, and Deogarh.
