Odisha weather outlook: IMD forecasts rain in select areas over next four days

Bhubaneswar, March 5: The India Meteorological Department's regional center in Odisha has forecasted light to moderate rainfall in certain areas of the state over the next four days, contrasting with dry weather expected elsewhere.
Recent observations revealed light to moderate rainfall in parts of north coastal Odisha, accompanied by shallow fog in select locations in the north interior, notably Keonjhar. Rainfall was most prominent in areas such as Bahanga, Kantamal, Athmalik, and others. Maximum temperatures have notably decreased in some spots in north Odisha and south interior regions, with minimal change observed elsewhere.
Notable declines in minimum temperatures were recorded in select areas of south interior Odisha. The highest maximum temperature, reaching 37.0°C, was noted in Nayagarh, while the lowest minimum temperature, at 17.2°C, occurred in Sundargarh on the plains of Odisha.
