CHSE Odisha extends exam form submission deadline for ex-regular candidates
Bhubaneswar, Oct 9: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has extended the deadline for submission of examination forms without a late fee for ex-regular candidates appearing in the Annual Higher Secondary Examination, 2027, to October 12.
The deadline was earlier scheduled to expire on October 9. The extension has been announced in view of the upcoming student union elections across colleges and higher educational institutions in the state.
According to a notification issued by CHSE Controller of Examinations Dr Prasanta Kumar Parida on October 8, the decision was taken following requests from several higher secondary schools and considering the ensuing college elections.
The extension will benefit ex-regular candidates from the Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational streams. It also covers eligible candidates enrolled in the Correspondence Course.
The council has directed principals and heads of all higher secondary schools affiliated with CHSE Odisha to ensure that the examination form-filling process is completed within the revised deadline. Institutions have been asked to inform eligible candidates about the extension and facilitate timely submission of their forms.
The notification further clarified that all other dates announced earlier in connection with the examination form-filling process will remain unchanged.
The decision comes ahead of the statewide student union elections scheduled for October 15. The extension is expected to provide additional time for candidates and institutions to complete the necessary formalities without incurring a late fee.
Candidates have been advised to contact their respective institutions for details regarding the submission process.
