Former Assembly Speaker Maheswar Mohanty under ventilator support
Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: Former Odisha Assembly Speaker and senior BJD leader, Maheswar Mohanty, was hospitalized after falling ill on the previous night.
He was admitted to a private medical facility in the Chandrasekharpur area of Bhubaneswar.
Sources revealed that Mohanty, who had attended several events in Puri the previous day, experienced discomfort upon returning home last night. Preliminary reports indicate that he has been diagnosed with a minor brain stroke and is currently receiving ventilator support at the hospital.
It's important to note that Mohanty has a routine practice of visiting the hospital for regular health check-ups once or twice a month. Additionally, he had been hospitalized for a few days recently for medical treatment.
