CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurates Habishyali Sibir in Puri

Bhubaneswar, Oct 30: The auspicious Kartik month in Odia tradition commenced on Sunday, marked by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's virtual inauguration of the Habishyali Sibir, a gathering of devotees observing fasts, in Puri.
Extending his warm greetings to those fasting during this sacred month, the Chief Minister conveyed, "May you observe your fasts with profound devotion and inner tranquility. Seek the blessings of the Lord, for when you are blessed, all of Odisha is blessed."
Emphasizing the significance of the Kartik month as a period of devotion and sanctity, the Chief Minister expressed his belief that Habishyalis would observe the Kartik Brat with joy throughout the month.
Patnaik reassured that comprehensive arrangements had been put in place for the convenience of women, with provisions for over 3,000 mothers, including accommodations, participation in rituals, and partaking in Mahaprasad. He further highlighted the district administration's preparedness to cater to their needs.
Culture Minister Ashwini Patra, present at the event, confirmed that all necessary facilities were accessible to women, aligning with the Chief Minister's vision, thanks to the collective efforts of the district administration, temple management, and dedicated volunteers.
Minister of Sports Tusar Kanti Behera lauded the Chief Minister for pioneering women-centric welfare initiatives and praised Odisha's leadership in women's empowerment under his steadfast guidance.
