Odisha CM Mohan Majhi’s elder brother passes away after cardiac arrest

Bhubaneswar, June 2: In a tragic development, Dinabandhu Majhi, the elder brother of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, passed away on Wednesday following a cardiac arrest. His sudden demise has cast a shadow of grief over the Chief Minister’s family and well-wishers.

According to sources, Dinabandhu Majhi complained of severe chest pain and his family members immediately rushed him to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar for emergency medical treatment. Despite efforts to provide timely care, doctors declared him dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The news of his passing came as a shock to family members and relatives. Dinabandhu Majhi was residing in a government residential quarter at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar. Following his death, his mortal remains were kept at the residence, where relatives, friends, and well-wishers gathered to pay their last respects.

The bereavement comes at a significant moment for Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who was scheduled to attend the inaugural session of the BRICS Disaster Risk Reduction Meeting in Puri as the chief guest. The sudden personal loss is expected to impact his official engagements.

Condolences have started pouring in from political leaders, government officials, and members of the public following the news of Dinabandhu Majhi’s demise. Many have expressed sympathy with the Chief Minister and his family during this difficult time.

Details regarding the final rites and funeral arrangements are yet to be announced by the family.

The passing of Dinabandhu Majhi has left his family and acquaintances mourning the loss of a loved one whose death came unexpectedly and has deeply saddened those close to him.
