Odisha CM’s Private Secretary VK Pandian Takes Voluntary Retirement

2000-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer VK Pandian , who was serving as private secretary to chief minister Naveen Patnaik and as 5T Secretary has taken voluntary retirement from service .
The Centre on Monday approved the voluntary retirement . 'In reference to letter No.GAD-SER1-PERS-0100-2014 dated 20.10.2023 from Government of Odisha on the above mentioned subject, I am directed to convey the approval of the competent authority for acceptance of voluntary retirement of Shri V Kartikeya Pandian, IAS(OD-2000) under Rule 16(2A) of All India Services (Death-cum-Retirement benefits) Rules, 1958 with waiver of the notice period as recommended by the State Government,' reads the letter issued by the Centre. Under Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Department of Personnel and Training Bhupinder Pal Singh has sent a communication in this regard to the Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration & PG Department, Government of Odisha on Monday.
V Karthikeyan Pandian, a 2000-Batch IAS officer, was working as the Private Secretary (5T) to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and as 5T Secretary . He started his career as a sub-collector in Dharmagarh in Kalahandi district. He had served as collector of Mayurbhanj and Ganjam. He was appointed as the Chief Minister's Private Secretary in 2011 . In 2019, he took additional charge as 5T Secretary.
