Odisha govt to disburse 4th phase of Subhadra Yojana funds, benefiting 18 lakh women

Bhubaneswar, Feb 7: Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, Pravati Parida, announced on Friday that the fourth phase of the first installment under Subhadra Yojana will be credited on Saturday, benefiting 18 lakh women. The disbursement will take place during a grand event in Jajpur.

With this latest transfer, the total number of women beneficiaries under the scheme will rise to 98 lakh. Parida assured that no eligible woman would be left out, adding that beneficiaries currently facing issues with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) clearance would be included by March 8. Those newly enrolled in the scheme will receive both the first and second installment on International Women’s Day.

She further stated that out of 3.38 lakh applicants, 59,000 have already received NPCI clearance.

Emphasizing the scheme’s goal, Parida said, "Subhadra Yojana is not just a flagship initiative but a mission to empower women by enabling them to become entrepreneurs, fostering financial independence and development."
