Bhubaneswar, Oct 19: A 25-year-old youth, identified as Munna alias Ranjan Parida, was brutally murdered by unidentified miscreants in Kurunti village under Rajnagar police limits, Kendrapara district, late Friday night.

According to reports, Munna had several criminal cases pending against him at various police stations. Police suspect that the attack could be linked to previous rivalries.

The incident occurred late at night when a group of attackers assaulted Munna with sharp weapons, inflicting severe injuries. He succumbed to his wounds on the spot before any help could arrive.

Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. An investigation has been launched to identify and apprehend the assailants and determine the motive behind the killing.

The brutal murder has sent shockwaves through the local community, with residents expressing anger and demanding quick justice. Police have assured that efforts are underway to track down the culprits.
