Sarpanch opens fire in Boudh district, man critically injured

Bhubaneswar, Sept 28: A man sustained critical bullet injuries after Saroj Karn, the Sarpanch of Kusarabandh, allegedly opened fire on him late Friday night in Boudh district due to an ongoing enmity.
The victim, identified as Rajendra Karn from Kusarabandh village under Manmunda police limits, had long been in conflict with the Sarpanch’s family over a previous dispute.
According to sources, tensions escalated around 9 pm when Saroj Karn, along with his brother and father, engaged in a violent confrontation with Rajendra.
