Suspended Bharatpur IIC agrees to polygraph test in Army officer assault case

Bhubaneswar, Sept 25: In a significant development, suspended Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Bharatpur police station, Dinakrushna Mishra, appeared before the SDJM Court in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday in connection with the alleged assault on an Indian Army officer and his fiancée. Mishra has agreed to undergo a polygraph test, along with other investigative procedures.
Sources indicate that Mishra will take the polygraph test once the court issues a directive. This follows a petition filed by the Crime Branch in the SDJM Court, seeking the polygraph test to verify the allegations against him. In addition to the polygraph, Mishra has also agreed to undergo narco-analysis and brain-mapping tests.
The incident involves Mishra and four other police officers, who allegedly assaulted and misbehaved with the Army officer and his fiancée when they visited the police station to file a complaint regarding a road rage incident. All five officers have been suspended in connection with the case.
