92 lakh women apply for Subhadra Yojana, first installment disbursed to 25 lakh beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar, Sept 25: Over 92 lakh women have applied for benefits under the Subhadra Yojana, with the first installment already disbursed to 25.11 lakh beneficiaries, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Wednesday.
Parida assured that women who have applied but have not yet received the first installment will get it soon. "So far, 92 lakh women have registered for the Subhadra Yojana, and the number is expected to reach 1 crore by this weekend," she said.
She further stated that those waiting for the first installment need not worry, as the amount will be credited to their bank accounts by March 8. The delay is due to the online transfer process. However, all beneficiaries will receive the second installment on International Women’s Day, March 8.
Parida also mentioned that the four slabs of the Subhadra Yojana will be finalized shortly, and all eligible beneficiaries, except taxpayers, will receive the monetary assistance.
