Bhubaneswar, Aug 16: In a tragic incident on Thursday night, a woman allegedly killed her husband by crushing his head with a stone in Kashibeda village, under Ghatgaon police jurisdiction in Odisha's Keonjhar district. 

The deceased, identified as Sunaram Munda, was found dead following the assault by his third wife, Sukumati Munda.

Reports indicate that Sunaram, who was intoxicated, had physically assaulted Sukumati before retreating to a nearby field to sleep. Enraged by the earlier altercation, Sukumati followed him to the field and attacked him with a stone while he was asleep, leading to his death.

Sunaram’s second wife discovered him in critical condition and rushed him to Patna Group Health Center. Despite efforts, doctors declared Sunaram dead on arrival. Police were notified and arrived at the hospital to take custody of the body. An investigation into this grievous incident has been initiated by the authorities.
