Six Elephant Tusk Recovered, One Person Detained

Six Elephant Tusk Recovered, One Person Detained

Based on a reliable information, a team of STF conducted raid with the help of Bolangir Forest Officials today i.e. on 05.05.2022 morning near village Malpada under Bolangir Town PS District- Bolangir regarding dealing/possession of wildlife products by wildlife criminals, as a result of which one wildlife criminal namely Nurin Set S/o. Late Dhobal Set of Malpada PS. Bolangir Dist. Bolangir was apprehended.

During search 06 (Six) number of Elephant Tusk weighing 09 kg (Approx) and other incriminating materials were recovered from his possession. The accused person could not produce any authority in support of possession of possession of such Elephant Tusks, for which he has been detained and handed over to Bolangir Forest Officials under Bolangir Forest Division for necessary legal action at their end. Enquiry is going on.
