Security beefed up in Bhadrak: Paramilitary conducts flag march ahead of Ram Navami

Bhadrak, April 15: Paramilitary forces led a flag march in Odisha's Bhadrak district on Monday morning to reassure locals and prevent any untoward incidents during the upcoming Ram Navami festival.
Following violence during a bike rally on Hanuman Jayanti in Balasore on Sunday afternoon, Bhadrak district police have undertaken extensive measures to ensure a peaceful Ram Navami celebration.
The district administration convened a meeting with members of the Shri Ram Navami Committee this morning, followed by a flag march conducted by a team comprising Odisha Police, BSF, and CRPF personnel.
Reports indicate the deployment of 37 platoons of police force in Bhadrak city ahead of the festival, supervised by four additional SPs and 20 DSPs to oversee the procession on April 17. Bhadrak SP Varun Gunthapalli stated that 29 inspectors, 140 SIs and ASIs, and 150 constables and home guards have been stationed across the district to maintain law and order.
Furthermore, one company each of BSF and CRPF personnel will oversee peacekeeping efforts in Bhadrak city, while drone cameras will monitor the Ram Navami procession. A special cell is also monitoring social media platforms to identify and counter fake and disruptive posts.
