Bhubaneswar - Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bhubaneswar has been adjudged the 5th Best Multi-Speciality Medical Facility in Eastern India by the prestigious English periodical Outlook magazine.

The Outlook Health Best Hospital Ranking 2022, presented by the Outlook magazine and NEB Research, has put the Orthopaedics Department of KIMS in an All-India 6th rank and Paediatrics Department in 9th place, thus reaffirming KIMS commitment to offering quality and affordable treatment to the community. The ranking has also placed both the Gastroenterology and Neurology Departments in the 10th position and Cardiology in the 12th in All-India rank.

KIMS made a humble beginning in 2007 under the leadership of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS as a constituent School of Medical Sciences under KIIT Deemed-to-be-University and today with people’s trust, goodwill, and wider recognition it has emerged as one of Eastern India’s biggest healthcare service providers.

Team KIMS has a huge workforce to support the medical college and its constituent hospital comprising 1,500 doctors, 950 highly trained nursing professionals, and 900 paramedics. To add to the existing strength, there are 1,000 in non-medical and support areas like patient care, IT, finance, insurance claims, and others.

Expressing satisfaction at the achievement, Dr. Samanta thanked the doctors and medical staff of KIMS for their hard work and dedication, which resulted in the impressive position of KIMS in this prestigious ranking.
