NIA Files Massive Chargesheet In Red Fort Blast Case, Wider Terror Conspiracy Suspected

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made significant progress in the investigation into the deadly blast near Delhi’s historic Red Fort, with officials claiming to have uncovered a large terror conspiracy involving multiple accused and possible foreign links.

The explosion, which took place near Lal Qila Metro Station in November 2025, had triggered panic across the national capital. The blast, caused by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED), killed several people and injured many others in the crowded area. Security agencies immediately launched a high-level investigation following the incident.

After taking over the probe, the NIA carried out raids at multiple locations across different states and arrested several suspects allegedly linked to the attack. According to investigators, the accused used encrypted communication platforms, coded language, and secret networks to avoid detection by intelligence agencies.

In a major development, the NIA recently filed a detailed 7,500-page chargesheet before a special court in Delhi. The chargesheet reportedly names 10 accused connected to the terror plot and includes forensic findings, financial records, digital evidence, mobile data, and witness statements collected during the investigation.

Officials said the conspiracy involved a wider support system that allegedly helped arrange logistics, transportation, hideouts, and explosive materials used in the attack. Investigators also claimed that some of the accused came from educated and professional backgrounds, describing the network as a “white-collar terror ecosystem.”

The agency suspects that handlers operating from outside India may also have played a role in planning or supporting the attack. Investigators are currently examining financial transactions, communication trails, and international links to determine whether foreign-based operatives were involved.

According to the NIA, the accused followed carefully planned methods to conceal their identities and movements. Authorities are still searching for additional suspects believed to be connected to the conspiracy.

The Red Fort blast led to heightened security measures across Delhi and several other cities. Surveillance around metro stations, tourist destinations, public places, and government installations was intensified after the incident. Intelligence agencies also issued alerts to state police units to remain vigilant against possible threats.

Officials consider the case one of the most important terror investigations in recent years due to the scale of the conspiracy and the nature of the evidence uncovered during the probe. With the filing of the chargesheet, court proceedings in the case are expected to move forward in the coming weeks.

The NIA has stated that the investigation remains ongoing and that efforts are continuing to identify every individual involved in the attack. Security agencies remain on high alert as investigators work to dismantle the larger network allegedly linked to the Red Fort blast conspiracy.
